Real name: Alcides Gonçalves
Alcides Gonçalves, composer, singer and instrumentalist, was born in Porto Alegre (RS) on 10/1/1908 and died in the same city on 1/9/1987. He studied music with Roberto Heguert and Elsa Tiefk, starting his professional career at Rádio Farroupilha, in Porto Alegre. Partner of Lupicínio Rodrigues, he recorded his first songs with him.
