Were a very well known group on the East Coast out of Washington D.C. This group of Sisters originated with Lead Singer and middle Sister, “Ayana Harrell” known at the time as Ann, from Anacostia High School and 3 of her classmates, Paula Smith, Toren Ragsdale and Muriel Bronson. While she and older sibling Mildred Harrell, whom they call “Mia”, reined from Anacostia High School, AVIS graduated from Frank W. Ballou Sr. High in S.E. Washington D.C.
