25 juli 1943 - 23 mei 2003. Hermien van der Weide grew up in Slagharen (in the municipality of Hardenberg) and went to secondary school there. Around 1960 she became active as a singer (amateur) and became a fan of the well-known singer Gert Timmerman (1935-2017). At the beginning of 1963 she became acquainted with Timmerman after a concert of him in Vriezenveen. The two married at the end of 1963.
The couple divorced in April 1999. In May 2003 Hermien van der Weide died at the age of 59 in a hospital in Enschede from kidney disease. She was buried in the general cemetery in Oldenzaal.
