Cannabis was a short-lived US psychedelic rock band from Rhode Island. Formed from the ashes of the band "Organized Confusion," Cannabis disbanded shortly after recording their sole album, Joint Effort, released in 1972 by Amphion Seahorse (a one-off subsidiary of renowned US classical label Amphion, which attempted to capitalize on other popular genres in the early 1970s). Despite the collective's suggestive name and album title, only one song directly referenced marijuana, "I Can't Roll." Decades later, the Joint Effort LP became a "cult classic" among the fans of psychedelic rock, with original copies trading in the $$$ price category and reissues by Italian label Akarma in 1999 and Survival Research from Australia in 2022.Cannabis line-up
