Pierre Bonnet

French Bonnet, Pierre. (fl. 1585–1600) composer who left two substantial books of airs: the Premier livre d'airs, including arrangements of texts dealing with courtly love, composed for four, five and six voices; and Airs et villanelles, containing some dialogue-like parts between soprano and chorus. Both books were composed in the then new homophonic and monodic style.
