Influenza is a thrash/death metal band formed in 2019 in Pennsylvania. They started out with a four piece lineup, but in 2020, their bassist and drummer parted ways with the band, leaving founding guitarist Brandon Relkam and vocalist Jay Hellion in the band. This two-man lineup recorded the debut rehearsal demo "Dangerous & Contagious" in April of 2021, which was released in June of the same year on CD-R format. Musically, Influenza is rooted in an abrasive thrash metal sound with strong death metal tendencies.
