At an early age Nicole spent large amounts of time alone and with her older brother playing with any tape recorders on-hand to record radio broadcasts, conversations, and other various activities. Around 2001 she began experimenting with music sequencers and digital music composition and has been practicing with various recording techniques (including playing back digital audio and recording it on tape with the same Playskool tape recorder she used as a child) since then.
