Mexican guitar, vocal and songwriting duo, formed by the two brothers Miguel Angel and José Angel Díaz y González de Castilla. The Cuates Castilla (cuates=twins) were born on September 2, 1912, in Veracruz, Mexico. Miguel "Cuate" Castilla passed away in Mexico City, Federal District, on June 21, 1979. José "Cuate" Castilla passed away in Mexico City, Federal District, on September 13, 1994.
