Six piece band from Wellington, New Zealand, formed in 1997. Their first album was released via Capital Recordings. After that label ceased trading they moved to Festival Mushroom Records for their second, and then to Flying Nun Records for their third.

Their fourth album, Buffalo, was the first on their own label, released via EMI Music New Zealand Ltd. Since then they have issued via UK indie Memphis Industries (distributed in NZ by Universal Music NZ).
