Scottish group, The Technicians, migrated to Brisbane, Australia in the 80s and had some chart success locally with their music releases, Hot for Love, Clockwork Clown and Soldier of Fortune through record companies Powderworks, EMI and BMG, and were published by MMA which was owned by rock outfit INXS. The band broke up in 1987 and mutated into Steeltown.
