Bill Knapp

Real name: William George Knapp

Bill Knapp was born about 1949 in Kapuskasing, ON, the son of Gray S. Knapp. Bill and his family moved first to Hanover, ON in 1952, and then in 1961 settled in Parkhill, ON, where his father was the Principal of North Middlesex District High School. By 1968 Bill was the drummer in 'The Haymarket Riot,' and by 1973 became the drummer for Roger Quick and the Rainbows until October of 1977. He issued his debut solo single that previous July, and that fall formed The Maple Sugar Music Co. with Sylvia Bell, Dennis Ische and Ross Loft. They issued one album in 1985, and later disbanded. Bill currently operates 'Angelfire Arts and Music' in Watford, ON, and has a presence on Facebook.
