Danish pop/jazz singer, born 15 February 1946 in Aarhus, Denmark. Debuted 1962 in Randers Jazzklub with the group Jazzminerne. TV-debuted in 1966 as a pop singer on a Danish program called Fokus, that brought her to the attention of RCA Victor. She was not wearing a seat belt and got a skull fracture in 1969 from a serious rollover car accident, and developed arthritis in subsequent years that resulted in breathing difficulties during performances. Mostly remembered for Smilende Susie / Jeg Venter På Et Vink, her 1970 Danish interpretation of the international 1969 smash hit Pretty Belinda. Met the guitarist Poul Freiber in 1978, and they got married. Participated with the song "Hvor går livet hen" in 1983 on Danish Melodi Grand Prix.
