He sung in several films and musicals, and gave a voice to many Disney characters. He was the singing voice of Yogi Bear in "Hey There, It's Yogi Bear!" He was also a member of the singing quartet The Mellomen. He frequently dubbed the singing voices of non-singing actors, and his daughter Diana Lee also worked in this field. He sang baritone vocals for the Anita Kerr Singers, 1965-70.
