The person behind the Prude Polly alter ego is Paul Hazendonk, a Dutch DJ/producer/labelmanager who started working at Basic Beat Recordings in the year 2000 and has rapidly made name for himself in the global electronic dance scene. The first Paul Hazendonk releases where hardgroove techno tracks, but his sound slowly but surely evolved into a deeper more intense sound with a lower tempo. However after a couple of years Paul felt the urge to produce some hardgroove techno again, and so Prude Polly was born!
