Members: Charlie McCoy, Kenny Malone, Mac Gayden, Kenny Buttrey, Bobby Thompson, Wayne Moss, Russ Hicks, Buddy Skipper, John Harris (6), Jimmy Colvard, Fred Newell, Dave Doran, Warren Hartman, Mike McBride, Barry Chance, Terry Dearmore

1971 to 1977 band whose style has been described as a fusion of country music and progressive rock, and as a seminal Southern rock band. Founded by Wayne Moss, guitar/keyboards/vocals, Mac Gayden, guitar/keyboards/vocals and Kenny Buttrey, drums who had played together in Area Code 615. They were joined by John Harris (6), keyboards.
After the first album Gayden left to form Skyboat and Buttrey joined Neil Young & The Stray Gators. They were replaced by Russ Hicks, guitar/steel guitar/horn/vocals and Kenny Malone, drums.
Sometimes Barefoot Jerry refers to just Wayne Moss
