The Tigers

The Tigers is a Japanese Group Sounds band and early Japanese rock pioneers who made their debut in February 1967.

The group, whose members also went by nicknames, consisted of singer Kenji Sawada [Julie], bassist Osami Kishibe [Sally], lead guitarist Katsumi Kahashi [Toppo], drummer Minoru Hitomi [Pee], and guitarist Taro Morimoto [Taro]. Katsumi Kahashi left the group in 1969 and was replaced by Shiro Kishibe.

The group split up in 1971, but reformed briefly in the early 80s with a second reunion in 2013.
