Romanian violinist and conductor, born 21st May 1899 in Iaşi, died 26th May 1992 in Sinaia.

Musical studies:
Conservatory of Iaşi (1908-1912) with Eduard Caudella şi Jean Bobescu (violin);
"Elena şi Elefterie Cornetti" Conservatory, Craiova (1912-1916) with Ion Soloviu (theory), Jean Bobescu (violin) and George Fotino (harmony);
Schola Cantorum, Paris (1920-1924, 1926-1927) with Guy de Lioncourt (counterpoint), Paul Flem (harmony), Nestor Lejeune (violin), Vincent D'Indy (composition).

Violinist оf Orchestra "George Enescu" Iaşi (1918-1927), professor of violin at the Conservatory of Music and Dramatic Arts in Chernivtsi, Ukraine (1927-1928), professor of violin at the Conservatory Astra in Braşov (1928-1935), conductor of the Radio Symphony Orchestra of Bucharest (1935-1972).

Artist Emeritus (1955), Order of Cultural Merit, cl. II (1968). Member of Society of Composers

He composed theater, film, chamber, choral and vocal music, made processing, transcriptions and arrangements.
Collaborated with George Enescu, Enrico Mezzetti, Serafim Antropov, Eduard Caudella, Theodor Lupu, Vincent D'Indy, Guy Ropartz, Pierre de Breville, Ernest Chausson, George Boscoff, Theodor Rogalski, Alfred Alessandrescu, Paul Jelescu, Fotino Maria, Maria Kabdebo, Alexandra Radulescu, Lia Hubic, Valentina Creţoiu, Cornelia Gavrilescu and many others.
