Well-known American radio and television presenter based in Cincinnati, Ohio from the 1950's to the 1970's. She was also a composer, pianist, and organist.

Born October 4, 1905 Cincinnati, Ohio
Died November 7, 1988 (aged 83) Cincinnati, Ohio.
It is said that she accidentally invented the daytime TV talk show with The 50/50 Club.
She began her career as a musician and continued to write music as a hobby after getting into television. She also was an author and media empire owner and philanthropist. The Ruth Lyons Christmas Fund began in 1939 and still provides Cincinnati-area hospitalized children with toys, Christmas decorations and hospital equipment.
