Spencer Ross

Real name: Robert David Mirsky

Effective period / Period of releases: 1959 - 1961

Pseudonym of the composer Robert Mersey used for the release of "Tracy's Theme" and "Theme Of A Lonely Evening". The pseudonym was originally used to avoid contract breach since Mersey was already under contract to Bigtop. After the success of "Tracy's Theme", Mersey was allowed to use it again for one more release on Bigtop. Afterwards the rights to the name reverted to the owners Devon Music (the publishing arm of David Susskind's and Howard S. Richmond's Talent Associates).
