The Persian Rugs formed in Edinburgh Scotland UK in 1981,a three piece .Jamie Watson vocals and guitar ,Keith Grant backing vox and bass Bod on drums and percussion.Jamie wrote most of the music while Keith was the lyricist.The band released 3 records ,first was a 7 inch 2 track single"Burning Passion Pain"on Phoenix Records followed by an LP called "Drowning Pool"also on Phoenix Records. The third release was a 3 track, 12inch single called "She Said" on +1 Records.
