American composer, arranger, orchestrator, pianist, producer and conductor.

Studied music, psychology and medicine at Yale University. After graduation, he worked as pianist and musical director both off and on Broadway, notably serving as musical director and conductor of the original Broadway production of "Grease" in 1971. In 1992, he retired from music to focus on a psychology degree, returning as a performing pianist in 2005.
