Hopscotch

Real name: Dan Cintra

Effective period / Period of releases: 1996

Hopscotch was the alias the now Tungsten, (One half of the mighty Tungsten & Morph) used for the releases of his more uplifting Happy Hardcore tracks.
His initial Demos were sent to DJ Dougal's Essential Platinum label. Feedback and talk of a release followed and so Tungsten found himself being co-produced by Micky Skeedale and Dougal at their Northampton studio. The first release in 1995 on Essential Platinum set the vibe alight, with Hopscotch doing live P.As at raves like Fusion, Evolution and the Club Kinetic nights. His tracks made their way onto various rave compilation LPs like 'Dance Paradise', 'United Dance' and the first of a series called 'Bonkers' mixed by Dougal, Hixxy & Sharkey. A short time later release 2 was put out on Dougal's imprint and again the response was on fire. Seduction, Vibes and Vinyl Junkie all requested Hopscotch tracks for their DJ sets.
