Andrew Brown
American jazz saxophonist (tenor, bass) and reed player, born February 2, 1900 in New York City, died August, 1960 in New York City.
Worked in the orchestra at the Cotton Club in New York in 1925, and remained when it became The Missourians under leadership of Cab Calloway in the late 1920s. He traveled with the orchestra to Europe in 1934 and played under Calloway until 1945, when he opened a teaching studio in New York.
