Irving Manning

Real name: Irving Manheim

American jazz double bassist, who was born in 1918 in Maryland, but lived in London, England, until the age of 20. He started playing double bass at age 15, and played with Sidney Lipton in London, and Benny Goodman, Louis Armstrong, Woody Herman, Dave Brubeck and others while living in New York. He moved to West Palm Beach, Florida, in the late 1970s, and played with the orchestra at the Everglades Club, and other club dates.

He was married to singer Helen Manning (3) in the 1940s.
