Started as a haidresser at Gareth & Colin (hair stylists co-owned by Gareth Evans, later manager of The Stone Roses).
Operated the salon "Swing" (with Factory catalogue number Fac 98), first in the basement of The Hacienda and later in Oldham Street, between late 1983 and the mid 1990s.
One of the early DJ's at The Hacienda.

Moved to London in the mid-1990's to continue working as a haidresser.
Lives in Sydney since 2007 where he operates his salon Viva.
