Njurmännen

Effective period / Period of releases: 1984 - 1992

Members: Peter Andersson (4), Magnus Axelsson, Anders Göransson (4)

Njurmännen from Sweden started as a band in September 1983.
They were then; Magnus "AIR" Axelsson, Göransson (aka Shadow) and Johan "Mhugh" Linden. Shortly after they got Bosse "Bob Galban" Davidsen in the band.
Some of the bandmembers previously played in the group "Mer Kött" (active 1981-1983).

This lineup did their first concert late 1983 or early 1984. Shortly after Galban quit. At Easter 1984 the trio made their first cassette (Hvem är Pavul?). While working on their second cassette album "Fejmert betong aktivator-reliker", they were expanded with Stefan Karlsson with whom they played some concerts. In January 85 both Mhugh and Karlsson quit. As a duo the rest of the band recorded "Masters 1992" in February 85.

During the spring of 1985 they became a trio including Peter "Lina Baby Doll" Andersson. As a trio they played their famous concert in Mjölby that later became (Njur 004). During the summer of 1985 they got Bobo Wieslander as live mixer and later studio producer. During fall of 1985 Jonas Skoglund became their new bass player, after several persons had been in and out of the band. With him they recorded Cerebral Player during the winter of 1986.

In August 1986 Skoglund quit and they continued as a trio. This lineup made and performed a rock opera. First performance was in November 1986. Same month they recorded their first 7" "She's A Fucker". Peter Andersson left in 1993, while the group continued under the name "Rotten Beak" until 1997, when they broke up. However, the group on rare occasions still plays live as Njurmännen.
