Cajun guitarist and singer. In 1935 he organized his own band (Happy Fats and the Bayou Buckaroos) and soon signed a recording contract with the RCA Victor label. In 1953, he was on the Bella Records label of San Jose, California where he still turned out records that were done in both French and English. Happy Fats made personal appearances with Tex Ritter, Alan Lane and Hank Williams, and was featured several times on the world famous Louisiana Hayride.
