Real name: Mohammed Benjedbar

French emcee from Marseille (Belsunce, Centreville).

Mohammed who is of Kabyle Algerian origins and who has seven brothers/sisters was born june, 17th of 1982 in Reims, France.
He began rapping when 17 years old and was forming rap group Processus Verbal. In years of performing in marseillais underground he made connections of famous rappers like Akhenaton of IAM, Le Rat Luciano of Fonky Family or Soprano (2) of Psy4 de la rime.
He signed at former label Original Bombattak Recordz when he made connection of Marc Bombattak.

El Matador got greater popularity when taking part of the soundtracks to the film "Taxi 4" with his song "Génération Wesh-Wesh" and in the french version of the soundtrack to the movie "300" with his song "A armes égales" together with Brasco and Segnor Alonzo.

After two albums and several free mixtapes he works at his third album "Poussière d'Etoile" that probably will be released in 2012.
