Real name: Jerry Naylor Jackson

Effective period / Period of releases: 1961 - 1979

Rockabilly musician who became the lead singer of The Crickets (2) after the death of Buddy Holly.
(born March 6, 1939 Chalk Mountain, Texas. Died 2019.
By 1965 he was a solo act, recording with Mike Curb in Los Angeles. They produced an evocative, blue-eyed soul sound which was picked up by "northern soul DJ's" in the late 70s and became hugely popular.
