Exmortis is an American death metal band, formed in Frederick, Maryland, in 1987.

The band was active until 1994, releasing 4 demos and an EP in 7 years.
The band reformed in 2010, when Brian Werking bought the trademark to the name Exmortis because it was available again (originally it was registered by Chris Wiser in 1994).

Since 1994 Werking did a project which was a continuation of Exmortis called Bloodless.
