American conductor and author (1936-1998). Founded the Esterhazy Orchestra of New York in 1961 and directed until 1969. He was music director of the Lausanne Symphony Orchestra in Switzerland from 1973 to 1982 and he also founded in 1977 the Orchestre Symphonique De Genève which he has conducted until to 1986.
