The Trumpeteers

The Trumpeteers, also know as the CBS Trumpeteers, were a black gospel group, best know for their recording of "Milky White Way" (originally done in 1947 for the Score label). They recorded for a variety of labels, like Score, King, Okeh, Gotham, Grand, Nashboro and HSE, from 1947 into the 1980's. Some secular recordings were made as the Rockets and the Four Rockets for Aladdin.
