Narendra Kotiyan (1931-2019), widely known as Naren, was an Indian-born musician, singer and dancer. As well as percussion and he played tambura, gaida, kaval, tamburitsa, frula and double bass.

Born in Bombay, he moved to the UK in 1957, and was soon involved in many dance groups. In 1963 he was a founder member of Dunav Balkan Group. Later, he was a founder member of The London Bulgarian Choir in 2001 and played with them regularly until 2016.
