Dan Bălan is a musician, singer songwriter and producer from Chișinău, Moldova. Starting his career in the Moldovan underground metal scene, with bands like Pantheon and Inferialis, he rose to international fame with his dance-pop group O-zone, which released the song "Dragostea din Tei". (commonly known as the "Numa Numa Song"). Over the years he has experimented with various styles of pop, rock and electronic music, releasing music in Romanian, Russian and also English. He has also released some material under the alias Crazy Loop.
