Lenell Stevens

Real name: Lenell A. Stevens

Born and raised on the south side of Chicago, He grew up listening to Disco, Gospel, R&B, Jazz, Soul, and House music. He started Spinning wax and making trax when He was a freshman (1986) at Chicago Vocational High School (CVS). He was heavily influenced by the likes of Ron Hardy, Farley Jack Master Funk, Glenn Underground, and Lil Louis. He grew up going to church and gave his heart to Jesus and was baptized at the age of 7. Although He strayed away from the church during his high school years, he re-dedicated his life to Jesus at the age of 19. Being influenced by the Holy Spirit and having a love for Gospel Music and House music, He decided to make and spinn, at the time (1992) what was known as a new form of music called Gospel House. Back then He played at various underground events and church functions around the Chicago Area. In 1995 He co-produced the "L.T.G. Project" on the DJAX label with Glenn Underground and Tim Harper(Robot, Evil Grin, and Curly Warp94).
