Joey Long
Real name: Joseph Earl Longoria

Born 1932. Died 1995. The cajun/blues guitarist Joey Long was raised in the piney woods on a river bank near De Quincy, Louisiana. Long drifted between Houston and New Orleans during his form active years, gradually learning spectrum of Southern Rhythm' Blues styles. Long appeared, usually without credits, on records for Doug Sahm, Barbara Lynn, T-Bone Walker, Johnny Winter and Dr. John among others. In 1978 he released his first solo album The Rains Came.
