US funk/soul group with releases from the 1980s, under the production company of Roger Troutman. The first 1980s formation included keyboardist Billy Beck (Ohio Players), singer Larry Hatcher (also horn player on P-Funk releases) and singer Ray “Stingray” Davis (from the P-Funk camp as well). The second 1980s lineup included Ray Davis and keyboard player Dale DeGroat. In the 1970s, Roger Troutman and his brothers recorded and released work as a different group, by the name Roger & The Human Body.
