Barney Parks
American gospel baritone vocalist born July 15, 1915 - died Feb. 24, 2007. Married to Edna Gallmon Cooke. Founding member of The Dixie Hummingbirds. Founded The Sensational Nightingales and discovered Julius Cheeks and brought him into the group. Founded and lead The Singing Sons who also backed Edna Cooke.
