Shem-Tov Levi (born February 4, 1950 in Rehovot, Israel) is a pianist, flautist, singer, composer, arranger and producer. His career has spanned more than four decades. After studies at Tel Aviv University and Berkeley College of Music in Boston and IDF service he began his professional career as a composer, writing two songs which appeared on Arik Einstein's 1972 album "Jasmine", which would lead to a number of collaborative albums between the two artists. During the '70s he was a member of the progressive rock groups קצת אחרת (Ktzat Acheret, Hebrew for "A Little Different") and Sheshet. Since then he has recorded a wide variety of solo and collaborative albums spanning pop, rock, folk and jazz, as well as leading his own jazz and folk ensemble.
