Norman Knight

Canadian (Québec) artist born in Montréal on April 24, 1937. Working for the CN, at the age of 17, he discovered his voice and his colleagues advised him to try his luck in the world of entertainment.In 1955, he became a host at the cabaret Le Café provincial. One thing led to another and he also began to sing. During his rich career, the artist also performed at the Lion D’Or, Mocambo, Casa Loma and La Cave, where he rubbed shoulders with Michelle Sandry.
In May 1969, he became program director of radio station CJLR in Québec. His experience as a host and disk jockey on CJMS, CKVL and CHRS in previous years allowed him to obtain this prestigious position. Due to his new duties, he put his singing career on hold for a few years.
In 2006, following health problems, he had to put an end to his professional activities. Norman Knight died on June 12, 2009, in Châteauguay, suffering from heart and lung problems.
