American comedienne and singer.Born August 14, 1923 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.
Died August 2, 2005 in Romford, Essex, England (age of 81).
She got her start with the Horn and Hardart Children's Hour in Philadelphia. She starred for awhile with Phil Spitalny's famed All Girl Orchestra. She appeared on TV on Ed Sullivan's "Toast of the Town", "Beat The Clock", Jack Paar's Morning Show, the Steve Allen Show, and the Betty Hutton Spectacular.
She was known for her large variety of character voices, dialects and sound effects, which she utilized on over 200 children's records as well as commercials. As a singer and comedienne, she appeared with many big name bands and in nightclubs in the U.S. and Europe. Some of the bands she appeared with include Ray Eberle, Bobbie Sherwood and Hugh Perette.
