David Terry

American producer, arranger, conductor, and orchestra leader. Married to Lynne Howard. He produced many of Joni James' releases.From back cover of: "David Terry And His Orchestra – March From The River Kwai / Colonel Bogey".
"David Terry is one of today's most outstanding arrangers and conductors. He has to his credit participation in a number of million-selling records including ones by Don Rondo, Roger Williams, Joni James, Vic Damone and Les Paul and Mary Ford. In addition Terry has done the arranging for a number of hit TV shows and also turned in a lot of work for Andre Kostelanetz and Danny Kaye. His home is Manhattan, where he lives with his wife, former singer Lyn Howard, and son."
Arranged for large dance orchestras including that of Andre Kostelanetz. During World War II he was leader of the Merchant Marine Orchestra in the New York City area. (Nelson Riddle was also with this orchestra.) In the 1950s he arranged and lead orchestras for several labels including Decca, MGM and Jubilee.
