Bad Lives

Bad Lives is an Indie-Rock project based in Dallas, TX. The project explores sounds that range from the misanthropic angst of Robert Smith in The Cure to the industrious eclecticism of GROUPLOVE. Frontman Jordan Taylor Thomas grew up in Grand Prairie, TX, a suburb of Dallas and attended the University of Nebraska to study theatre at the Carson School. While there he began to experiment with new sounds that, paired with his indie / punk rock upbringing, would ultimately lay the ground work for what would later become Bad Lives in 2020. Recently, the band hit the studio in Austin, TX to record their debut 4 track EP with Matt Noveskey (Blue October, Harvard of the South, Icarus Bell). They followed up their initial release with a myriad of singles that represent the true ethos of the band which would eventually be compiled into their debut album "Whispers".

After a long year of playing live shows and traveling, Thomas began to work on the band's second full length release titled "Professions of a Teenage Drama King" which would be self produced and mixed by multi-platinum engineer Joe Costable (American Authors, Brick+Mortar, Good Charlotte). The album released mid-2023 and would be followed by a stripped back EP consisting of tracks from the first 18 months of Bad Lives entitled "Live From My Bathroom".

Bad Lives recently released a new single entitled "Indigo Girl" which was recorded in Austin, TX where they further specify the true ethos of their sound.
