Guitarist Chris Cortez released several solo CDs in the 1990s. In 2002, he put together Groovopolis, a collaboration featuring trumpet player Jay Webb, bassist Lenny DiMartino, keyboardist Dan Fransen, and drummer Jeff Mills. Crafting a rhythmic and catchy contemporary sound that includes influences of psychedelic rock and acid jazz.
