Dick Lee

Real name: Richard Lee Beurer

Effective period / Period of releases: 1952 - 1969

American singer, entertainer, TV star, and Night Club owner, popular in the early 1950's, dubbed, "America's Golden Boy".
He was born in Philadelphia. As a teenager, Dick had his first hit song in “All I Want Is A Chance” which was released in England. This was followed by his Billboard-charting hit, “Oh Mein Papa”.

Dick then married and, ambivalent about the recording business and its insecurities, opened a night club in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. The club became very successful and was a stepping stone for many artists through the decades that followed.

Dick continued to perform throughout the United States and was especially popular in Atlantic City.
He passed away on April 1, 2021, at his home in Los Angeles, California
