German-Austrian composer (born March 2, 1884 in Lendorf, Kärnten, Austria-Hungary [now Austria] – died May 9, 1952 in Zerndorf, Brandenburg, Germany)Composed more than a dozen successful pop songs, starting in 1914 with "Aisha." Particular hits were "Poranek" (1914) and "Vineta-Glocken" (1921).
