Real name: Jose Pereira De Souza

Brazilian singer, viola caipira player, musician and songwriter, José Pereira de Souza, as known as Índio Cachoeira, was born on July 27, 1952 in Junqueirópolis SP, Mato Grosso border, died on April 4, 2018.
When he was 17, he began his professional life playing on radio stations in the region under the name of Cachoeira.
He formed a duo with Tião do Gado (today Carreiro of the duo Carreiro and Carreirinho). In 1995 he became Pelé of the duo Cacique E Pajé, where he performed for five years and recorded five CDs.
Later he formed duo with Cuitelinho as 'Indio Cachoeira E Cuitelinho.
