Pinky Perzelle, (born & raised in West London) the alias of multi instrumentalist, producer and DJ Sonny Rooney, was conceived from mystical stories from his Grandfather, sailor and guitarist, and something to do with tales of rugged seas. Now Perzelle, reborn in the social age, powered in part still by wind and an altogether different sea. Amassing acclaim as a DJ from major tastemakers and spending the better part of the past decade touring some of the world's most celebrated venues. Pinky's more untamed love however comes in the form of his production and work as an instrumentalist, having spent these same years working on records and writing songs for others as well as himself.

Fast forward to now, stepping out as much of a new artist to the world, yet with a decade of musical exploration under his belt, Perzelle is set to present his own dedication to record creation, tied together by the continued thread of a total unwavering and uncompromising take on his deepest inspirations. Pinky Perzelle's work is not just an ode to his roots in music from all corners of the globe, but rather his love for 'DIY', or rather a 'do it all' musical approach, which was initially born out of necessity. His works often feature his own recorded instrumentation, machinery and selective collaborations, intricately placed together to further honour those who came before him.

In short, Perzelle is a unicorn; writing, producing, playing, DJing, and now running his own label ‘Perzelle Recordings’. Without much care for what 'works' and rather, 'what is my intention, do I believe it and how does this make people feel'. And this is quite possibly the clearest statement of Sonny's work.
