Rock band formed in Austin, Texas in 1985 to create activist lesbian sex-positive music and performances. The original group was co-founded by Kay Turner, Gretchen Phillips and Betsy Peterson.

From 1988 onwards, the group was accompanied by dancers “Lez Nez” - Allison Faust and Kathy Smith
