Co-founder withThompson of the publishing companies Texoma Music and Brazos Valley Music.
Often miscredited for co-writing the 1960 hit song "Chills And Fever" written by Bobby Rackep and Bill Ness because he also co-wrote a song by the same name recorded by Hank Thompson in 1952.
